a weekend in july
This past thursday my friends and I kicked off the weekend on the west side and dare I say it was a movie. The drink of the night was a mule and the theme of the evening was “why not!!”. We made our way over to our favorite turtle racing bar and didn’t pay attention to any of it… as per usual. We played “truth or dare or what are the odds”, which I didn’t pay much attention to cause I was busy taking Sams phone and monologging… once again as per usual. Then from there we all went to gaslight for some karaoke and sang our little hearts out together. Waiting for our uber I made my friends model for me and the pictures ofc came out fantastically. By the time we got home Taco Bell was waiting for us and it was absolutely magical.
Friday was a little more wholesome but exactly what we needed. My cousin and I went to my favorite coffee spot and I ofc got a slice of zucchini bread with my latte (it was so f*cking good). We talked and talked and talked and then went back to my house to then rot on our phones for a bit. Once we concluded our “brain rot” session we walked to our favorite bar and gabbed and chatted some more. This time with a bit of a deeper tone, heavier on the complexities of life and how we really are all just doing this for the first time. The night then concluded with my roommate and I watching white collar gushing over Matt Bomer and how g*d da*mn handsome he is.
Saturday I went “home home” for the morning and had breakfast burritos w my fam and they were… so good. Soon after I picked up my beautiful gorgeous precious adorable Penny (pennys my dog) from camp. Animals truly are a gift from the divine. That dog puts the stupidest smile on my face and makes me sound insane and I love it. Then drove back to my neck of the woods to get ready for my roommates cousins birthday party in Huntington Beach. I had such a fun silly time with everyone and had some really good laughs, so classic. We drannnnk wine and ate charcuterie and pizza and cake <33333makes my heart pitter patter333333. We then drove back to la for our best friends house warming party and that of course was also very fun. I got to see some faces I hadn’t seen in a minute and that was very lovely<33
I love my friends and family. Knowing I can easily surround myself with wonderful people is something im truly so grateful for every day. Life continues to get really interesting and im really enjoying documenting it all and experiencing life with the people in my life.
